IHSCCO Scholarship

The IHSCCO is thrilled to announce that for the first time we will be awarding SIX $1,000 scholarships for IHSCCO member senior cheerleaders pursuing higher education! All details and the online application can be found below! 

2025 Illinois High School Competitive Cheerleading Coaches Organization (IHSCCO) Scholarship
Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria

• Senior in High School
• Cumulative Unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Member of the cheerleading program at an IHSCCO member school for 2024-2025

Scholarship applicants must complete the online application (linked at the end of this page) no later than midnight on Thursday, March 11th. The online application will collect information about the athlete including demographic information, GPA, standardized test scores, and a comprehensive overview of the applicant's involvement with athletics, activities, volunteer work, and other accolades. In addition to the information in the online application applicants must submit 

1. An official or unofficial school transcript 
2. One letter of recommendation from their high school head coach 
3. One letter of recommendation from a school administrator or classroom teacher
4. A personal essay no longer than 600 words responding to the prompt “How have your experiences in high school cheerleading helped prepare you for college and life beyond?”

-In 2025 the IHSCCO will be awarding up to six (6) one-time scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each. 
-If selected as a finalist, applicants must be available for an online interview the weekend of March 15th. 
-Finalists will be notified of the results of the process on Monday, March 24th.
-Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the IHSCCO Coach and Athlete Conference on Sunday, April 6th at Lemont High School where they will be recognized and receive their award.
